Why lenders ask for one
A lender is lending against the vehicle, so it wants to know the car is worth about what you are paying. For ordinary used cars a price guide is enough. For rare, older, modified or privately purchased vehicles it often is not, and many lenders ask for an independent opinion of value before they approve the loan.
How to get it done
Ask your lender
Confirm what they accept: a written valuation or a certified appraisal, and any required format or wording.
Send us the vehicle
Photos, VIN, mileage and the purchase details. For many vehicles that is all we need; if an inspection is required we schedule one.
Get a written report
A clear report with the comparable sales behind the number, ready to hand to your loan officer.
What it costs
Photo-based vehicle valuation from $199. Certified appraisal $350, or $595 for classic, exotic and collector vehicles. The fee never depends on the value we reach. See full pricing.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my lender want an appraisal?
Lenders want to confirm a vehicle is worth about what you are paying before they lend against it. This comes up most often with private-party purchases, classic or collector cars, older vehicles, modified vehicles and rare models where book values are unreliable.
Will my credit union or bank accept your report?
Requirements differ by lender. Ask your loan officer what they accept: a written valuation, a certified appraisal, or a specific format. We can provide either, and we are happy to talk with your lender directly.
How much does it cost?
A photo-based vehicle valuation starts at $199. A certified appraisal is $350, and $595 for classic, exotic and collector vehicles. The fee does not depend on the value we reach.
How fast can I get it?
You send photos and details, and we deliver the written report in a short window: typically 48 hours for a valuation and 72 hours for a certified appraisal after we have what we need.
Do you buy or sell cars?
Veride does not buy, sell or consign any vehicle it values, and we never take a fee tied to the outcome. Our sister company PCAP Motors LLC is a licensed dealer, and we never value its vehicles.
