Not every situation needs a certified appraisal. If you are simply deciding what to ask for your car, whether a trade offer is fair, or what an inherited vehicle is worth before you sell it, a valuation gives you the number without the cost and formality of a court-admissible report.
It is the same inspection and the same market research we run on a certified appraisal, documented and signed — just scoped for your own decision-making rather than for a court, an insurer, or the IRS.

Valuation or certified appraisal?
For your own decisions: selling privately, weighing a trade offer, settling curiosity about an inherited car. Signed, but not certified and not intended for court, tax, or insurance filings.
For anything that will be filed, disputed, or scrutinised: probate inventories, Form 706, insurance claims, litigation. USPAP-compliant and court-admissible.

Veride works in partnership with PCAP Motors, a licensed Massachusetts dealer that lists and sells vehicles across multiple national platforms. If you decide to move the car after your valuation, they can take it from there — consignment, outright purchase, or a listed sale.
Selling through PCAP is entirely optional and never a condition of a valuation. Veride does not appraise vehicles that PCAP liquidates, and our fee never changes with the value we report.
