The problem with book value on unusual vehicles
Price guides work well on ordinary cars. On a low-production exotic, a restomod, an imported or heavily optioned vehicle, the guide can be far from what the car actually sells for. A loan-to-value ratio, an estate inventory or a trust schedule built on the wrong number carries the risk.
Veride is a CAGA-certified independent valuation firm. We look at what comparable vehicles actually sold for, show you those sales, and tell you plainly when a number is too uncertain to rely on.

Check a vehicle
Enter the year, make and model. You get a value range, the sold comparables behind it, and a flag: reliable, worth a second look, or independent valuation recommended.
Order a valuation when it matters
For wide or uncertain ranges, order a photo-based valuation from $199 or a certified appraisal from $350. Delivered in writing, in a standard report.
Who uses it

- Estate attorneys and executors who need a defensible number

Frequently asked questions
What is the Collateral Check?
A free tool for approved users. You enter a vehicle and get a value range built from recent comparable sales, a plain flag showing whether the range looks reliable, and the comparables behind it. It is a preliminary range, not an appraisal.
When do I need a full valuation?
When the flag says an independent valuation is recommended: the range is wide, comparable sales are thin, or the vehicle is rare, modified or high value. Photo-based valuations start at $199 and certified appraisals at $350 ($595 for classic and exotic vehicles).
Who pays for the valuation?
That is up to your policy. Many lenders have the borrower pay, and Veride invoices whoever you direct.
Is Veride independent?
Yes. Veride does not buy, sell or consign any vehicle it values, and fees never depend on the value reached. Veride's sister company PCAP Motors LLC is a licensed dealer, and its vehicles are never valued by Veride.
