An independent second opinion on hard-to-value trades and inventory

When a rare trade, a lender question or a partner dispute turns on the number, an outside valuation settles it faster than another round of guide values.

The short answer

Dealers use an independent valuation when a vehicle is outside the guides: a rare trade-in, inventory a lender questions, a partner buy-out, or a dispute with a customer. It is a documented second opinion from someone with no stake in the deal.

When dealers use an independent value

Rare, modified or low-production trades where the guides disagree. Support for a floorplan or inventory lender questioning a value. Buying out a partner or valuing a collection. Settling a disagreement with a customer or consignor. Valuing a vehicle you will not be buying.

An outside number protects both sides because neither of you set it.

What we will not do

To keep the opinion independent, Veride does not value vehicles that our sister company PCAP Motors buys, sells or consigns. We will not give a quick number on a car you are about to buy from us or sell through us. That firewall is what makes the valuation credible to a lender or a court.

Fast and documented

Most dealer requests need photos, the VIN, mileage and a short description. We typically deliver a written valuation in about 48 hours. For a batch of vehicles, ask about per-vehicle pricing.

Read how sold comparables differ from asking prices, and why they matter.

What it costs

A photo-based valuation starts at $199. A certified appraisal is $350, or $595 for classic, exotic and collector vehicles. Fleet and bulk work is priced per vehicle. The fee never depends on the value we reach. See full pricing.

Independent, by design

Veride is an independent valuation firm. We do not buy, sell or consign the vehicles we value, and we never take a fee tied to the outcome. Our sister company PCAP Motors LLC is a licensed dealer, and we never value its vehicles. That is what makes the number worth something to whoever relies on it.
