What is inside a Veride appraisal report

Every report opens with the identification of the vehicle: year, make, model, VIN, mileage, and a check of the specification against factory records where available. It then states the purpose of the appraisal, the intended users and the effective date of the value.

The condition section is built from the inspection and photographs, covering exterior, interior, engine bay, undercarriage, tires, and documented defects. Photographs are part of the record, so a reader can see what the appraiser saw.

The market section lists the comparable sales used, with date, price, source and an explanation of how each differs from your vehicle. A visible adjustment grid shows how those differences move the value up or down. The report closes with the final opinion of value and a signed certification of independence.

Why the structure matters

A probate court, a lender, an insurer, an opposing party and the IRS ask the same thing of a valuation: where did this number come from? A report that shows its comparables, its adjustments and its limits can answer that question. A single unexplained figure cannot.

If you are not sure whether you need a full certified appraisal or a shorter valuation, read valuation or certified appraisal: which do you need, or see pricing.
